What is a MedsCheck, and do you qualify?

A MedsCheck is a private appointment with a pharmacist to review all the medications you take — prescriptions, over-the-counter products, vitamins, and supplements. It is free for eligible patients and usually takes 20 to 30 minutes.

During the review we check for duplications, interactions, and side effects, make sure each medication is still doing its job, and give you an up-to-date list to keep and share with your doctors. It’s a good way to feel confident about what you’re taking and why.

Ontario’s annual MedsCheck is available to eligible Ontario residents with a valid Ontario health card who take three or more prescription medications for a chronic condition. Follow-up reviews depend on program criteria, such as a hospital stay or major medication changes. Call us or request an appointment online so we can confirm eligibility and arrange a time.
